Introducing Hale Marketing & Communications

Hi everyone! I am so excited to announce the official launch of my very special project and business: Hale Marketing and Communications - a PR, Marketing, and Strategic Communications agency devoted to the needs of nonprofits, artists & creatives, cultural institutions, and small businesses.


So, what's the story?


After graduating last December with my master's degree in Corporate Communications and Reputation Management from The University of Manchester, I began taking on a few side gigs to gain a bit of experience in my industry. I met a wonderful lady on a train to London one day (how random), we clicked, and a few months later I began supporting her charitable organization with their PR and Communications projects.


Well, needless to say, one small project has now snowballed into more projects and even more clients in the creative arts, culture, and nonprofit sectors - sectors I believe are so inspiring, interesting, and totally underserved by the traditional PR and Advertising industries. Not to mention, these organizations are passionate, and have meaningful stories and ideas to share with the world.


What will agency life at HMC look like?


Lots of (happy) work! For those close to me, you know that I had a tough transition from university life to work life. I struggled for several months last winter with finding a job, feeling inadequate, enduring relentless interview processes, overcoming constant rejection, and coping with the anxiety of uncertainty about my life. After going through this, I cannot tell you enough how great it feels to wake up every morning with a to do list, positive things to achieve, and projects to work on that actually make a difference in people's lives.


Life at HMC will not look like a normal office-based job - which is a true blessing for both myself and for the clients I serve. Instead of having one role on one team, I now get to wear many hats and work on multiple teams of amazingly talented people across the globe. Remaining flexible in my location and working style will enable me to bring custom experiences, world-class services, and cutting edge ideas to projects and campaigns. Not only that, but it opens the door for creative partnership opportunities for my clients across country and industry borders.


2019 and Beyond


This year I hope to give my clients that extra nudge and expertise they need to achieve their next level of success. Whether that's by helping them amplify campaigns, cultivate valuable relationships, or further develop their business; I plan to support at every step of their adventure. Along the way, I hope to tackle some even bigger issues facing the community including:

  1. Improving access to professional communications services for nonprofits, artists, community interest groups and small businesses

  2. Enhancing the overall digital landscape with high quality content, positive messaging, and ethical PR tactics

  3. Promoting media literacy and raising awareness of the impact of social media on mental health

I cannot thank my family and friends (from Oklahoma and Manchester) enough for their infinite support and encouragement during this massive transition in my life. I have the feeling this is the start of a very special chapter, and I cannot wait to get started; fueling even more projects in 2019 and beyond.
